Cameron directs the INVEST initiative, a $95 million collaboration platform that aligns the skills and capital of donors, investors, and corporates to achieve development outcomes. INVEST deploys USAID resources globally (grants, guarantees, technical expertise, networks, and convening power) to create viable investment opportunities.
Cameron is a founding member of USAID’s Private Capital and Microenterprise Office, whose mandate is to work more strategically to mobilize private investment into priority USAID sectors and markets. He has been a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and managed development projects in a variety of frontier and emerging markets. His focus areas include SME finance, enterprise development, privatization, project finance, capacity building, private sector development, and capital markets development.
