Johannes Goderbauer is a Senior Investment Manager at the Corporates/Funds Latin America Equity & Mezzanine department of DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH. DEG is part of the KfW Banking Group, the German development bank that has been investing in emerging markets since its founding in 1962. Based in Mexico City, Johannes is responsible for the acquisition, structuring, negotiations, closing, and portfolio management of DEG’s equity and mezzanine investments in Mexico and Central America. Managing a portfolio of more than US$100m, Johannes holds LPAC seats and is a member of the Board of Directors at several companies. Before joining DEG, Johannes was as an investment banker, founded his own financial advisory company, and worked for a US based Real Estate Private Equity Company in Mexico and the US. Additionally, Johannes published several articles about the financial markets, Mexico, and other topics in the international press. Johannes is trilingual (German, English and Spanish), holds a Master Degree from Munich University in Germany, and also attended Harvard University, MIT, Duke University, and the Tec de Monterrey.
