With a 19 year track record, African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) is the most experienced private equity investment manager focused exclusively on African infrastructure on the continent. AIIM is committed to Africa’s long term development through its infrastructure focus and currently manages USD2.1 billion across 7 funds having concluded investments into more than 55 assets across the power, telecommunications and transport sectors in East, West and Southern Africa.



Paul is responsible for new business initiatives and for the structuring and development of AIIM’s managed funds, designed to invest long-term institutional unlisted equity in African infrastructure projects. Paul led the structuring of AIIM’s flagship AIIF3 Fund and AIIM’s dedicated renewable energy investment vehicle, Apollo – developed to provide international and domestic capital with access to Africa’s growth markets through a diversified portfolio of infrastructure assets across sub-Saharan Africa. He was also involved in the establishment of AIIM’s asset management function and AIIM’s entry into the South African renewable energy sector including the integration of these projects into the AIIM portfolio.


Paul holds a directorship on the board of Cookhouse Wind Farm, South Africa’s largest wind farm.
