Managing Principal, Growth Markets, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ)
Roberta Brzezinski is a Managing Principal in the New York and Washington offices of CDPQ US, a subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Her role includes deploying CDPQ’s growth markets investment strategy and seeking business opportunities in growth markets, with a current focus on private equity and fixed income opportunities in Latin America. Ms. Brzezinski has been involved in private equity investing since 1992. Before joining CDPQ US, she held the position of Chief Investment Officer at TAU Investment Management, a private equity investment firm whose operations focus on Asia. She was one of the founding partners of Abris Capital Partners, a private equity fund manager that invests in the major countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to Abris, Ms. Brzezinski was Managing Director at Emerging Markets Partnership, manager of the US$6 billion AIG Infrastructure Funds, where she oversaw various investment activities in Asia, Central Europe and Latin America. She began her career as an Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation, a division of the World Bank, before becoming Vice-President, Direct Investments for NCH Capital, an emerging markets-focused hedge fund. Ms. Brzezinski holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and earned an AB in History and Literature from Harvard College.
